I love the idea of time travel. Not just to visit the future or the past, but for the convenience. Just think about it. The possibilities are endless. You could sleep as long as you want, get up, dressed, eat breakfast and then travel back to when it was time to go to work. You could have a girl's night out and still make to dinner with the in-laws. You could be with the families for the holidays and go skiing at Aspen. You could have a night at home and a night on the town. There might be one small problem. You might age twice as fast as everyone else. That's where Botox comes in. Happy times, everyone. Happy times.

I am amazed by the moon. When it is big and round and shines like a star, I am amazed. It is, basically, a big ball of dirt, but it reflects the sun and makes light in the night. How can this be?
I am sure there is a scientific reason behind it all, but I prefer the miracle of a shining clump of clay.
Good night, moon.

Blood
Do you want to be treated like a prince or princess. Give blood. They will pamper you. They will give you cookies and orange juice. And they will smile and thank you for coming. They will become your new best friend. Also, an added perk, you just may save a life.

Decorations
I was listening to someone complain about putting up Halloween decorations. He didn't like putting them up because he'd have to take them down. That's when it hit me. Holographic decorations. You install holographic devices once and then you only have to use the computer to decorate your home. You could have ghost for Halloween, snow for Christmas and fireworks for the forth. No sweat, no bother. Of course one good solar flare could ruin the holidays.

Just saying hello.
There is a country that make coffins to fit your hobby or interest. One was a giant camera. Another was a giant fish. I want mine to be one of those talking boxes, so when someone steps by my grave, they will hear me say, "Hello! Can you help me get out here? I'm sorta stuck. Hello?"

HOT!

To all parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, guardians, and babysitters. In fact, anyone who ever has children in their charge. When you park your car, to go the office, mall or casino, check your backseat. Is there a child there? No? Then you're free to go. I, and the whole world, am tired of hearing about children being accidently left in a frying hot car. I am not even going to talk about people who leave their kid in the car while they play a game of 21. If it's too hot for a dog it's too hot for a child. If it's hot outside, it's too hot inside. Have a nice day.

Bumper Stickers
I love a good bumper sticker, but the trouble with bumper stickers is, you can't debate them. Sure you can buy your own, but will the guy with the first bumper sticker see yours. I doubt it. No, your b. s. (short for bumper sticker.) will be seen by someone else who will buy their own bumper sticker which you will never see. Then the next gal will buy her own and we have a chain reaction. At least the bumper sticker business will have a boost in profits and that's a good thing.

offended
We were talking about this comic. How when he starts out, you're thinking, don't say that. Someone might be offended. Then I think, just about anything anyone says offends someone. I want to say to the constantly offended, shut up. Either someone meant to offend you or they didn't.If they didn't mean to offend, I'm sure they're sorry your feelings were hurt. If they meant to offend, your complaint made their day.

I got to confess, I watch reality shows. Not too many. Just enough to keep me entertained, and they all say the same thing; "I came here to win," "I didn't come here to make friends," and " I got to step up my game." For once I liked to hear someone say, "I didn't come to win. I just wanted to see New York or starve on a beautiful island."

I'm trying to declutter my life. Yes, I admit it. I am a clutterer. My family know it. Strangers suspect. The thing is, I have an emotional attachment to some of my clutter, so it's become like a noble breakup. I hate for us to part, but I know it's for the best. I kiss it good-bye(just joking) and send it on its way. It hurts, but I will be a better person. I think it's called growing pains.

Can you imagine? You've been cooped up in your home all winter, shivering in the cold. If you leave, you have to creep along because of the snow and ice. Finally, summer is here. You take off in your top-down convertible with the breeze in your hair, The Beach Boys 'I Get Around' on the radio, and freedom in your heart and you hit road construction.

A highway runs thru it
It would be nice if there were never any problems. I was going to say once you die, you have no more problems, but I remembered, sometimes they want to put a highway thru a graveyard and they want to move your body and you know how hard it is to have to suddenly move. I've decided to have myself buried in two places. That way if anyone wants to move me, I have some place to go.

sleep
Do you know what I do when I can't fall to sleep. I tell myself a story. In my head. The neat thing about telling my own story is I don't have to worry about critics, holes in the plot or problems with the storyline. The best thing is, I usually fall asleep before the first scene is finished. Happy dreams.

To brighten your day
I wanted to say, "Hi," and "Have a jolly day!" And laugh to exercise your face. It will brighten your day even if you don't need it. You probably do because you are working or goofing off and someone might catch you at it.

Smelly Words
I was thinking about words. How a lot of words have the same basic meaning but have a different feel attached. Like odor and aroma. They are both something the nose reacts to. But aroma says fresh bread baking. Odor says something died in the bathroom.

brain drain
I'm afraid it's happened. I'm suffering from brain drain,
writer's block, spring fever. I only have half-thoughts
in my head. They're like butterflies that fly close and than
flutter away, completely out of reach. No worries. I'm
buying a net.

I remember
Do you know who has real talent? The people who would paint logos and words on signs or windows. They had to get it perfect. They could not paint outside of lines. It had to look as if it was stamped on. They may not have been Pollock. Their work may not have hung in the Louvre, but they were artists.

I Hear It

Every once in a while, my two year old nephew would put his hand to his ear and say,"I hear it."
There was one day I didn't know what he was talking about. He looked up into the sky, amazed. I realized he had heard a plane I didn't hear or rather, I heard it, but didn't pay attention to it because they are so common place.
And the birds. I realized he heard the birds outside my apartment. The ones I stopped listening to years ago but, for a two year old, everything is new and awesome.
I need to take a moment to rediscover our world, so I can say, "I hear it."

Grandmother's Face
I see my Grandmother's face, sometimes, when I looked at Mom. Mom has some
of her ways. It's almost as if they were twins. Then, sometimes, when Mom is
amused, I see my Grandfather peek out.
I have to wonder, in twenty years, who will people see in me?

Frozen reporting
In February, I saw a newscast reporting on the freezing cold weather in the east. The reporter was standing outside in near zero degree weather and I have to ask myself why? Do we need to see her eyeballs freeze.
Windy day
stirring in your head.

Cats
I think when cats go hunting at night they should wear reflective tape. It's only fair. Dogs have to be on a leash. Cats should shine in the dark.
Scary thought
Here's a warning. I don't know what I'm doing. This is all new to me. I've thrown myself into the deep end and I don't do that. I am a dip the tip of my toe into the water and then wait a bit. No, no, no. I don't like taking chances.
I'm on my own now. No one to hold my hand.
As I said, my friend suggested I should blog and I think, What fun. but what if my brain dies. There I am, in the middle of hello, and I have no where else to go. That could be red-face time.
Sometimes I have brilliant ideas, but they fly away before I can get them down. I'll never remember them and you'll never read them and we all suffer a great loss. Ta-ta for now, as Tigger might say. Keep on the sunny side.

Are you really interested in my thoughts? Here's the thing, my friend thought I should blog. She chained me to a computer until I came up with something to share.
The good thing for me is that thoughts are always trapped in my brain and trying to escape.
I hope you enjoy this blog despite the random craziness that is sure to occur. Remember, you are the one responsible for reading this, and I am not liable for any damage, real or imagined.
