I Love

10:00 AM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , , , , , ,
I love books. I mean the kind made of paper and you hold in your hand and can feel the page when you turn it. I'm a glutton for books. I can't afford my habit so I make use of the library. In fact, my dream is to be locked overnight in the library. The library has all kinds of books. Books I've heard about and more that I haven't. If you have the time, the library can be an indoor adventure. You can find loads of things you didn't know people wrote about and some things you didn't want to know people wrote about. There is no telling what surprises wait for you in your local library. I'm smiling just thinking about it.

No!!!

10:00 PM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , , , , , , , , ,
There is a public service announcement I hear a lot. It's against text bullies. Apparently a teen is being pressured to take nude selfies. At one point she texts that she has already said no, but did she?
She texts, " I'd love to, but my web cam is broken." He thinks,"'She interested."
She texts, "I'm a vampire. My pictures don't show up anyway." He thinks, "She's flirting."
She texts, "I'm afraid they'll get passed around at school." He thinks, "She's wants to very careful."
Here's the thing, half of the world's population can't catch the hint. If you do not want to do something say no. You don't have to be polite. You don't have to spare their feelings. Just say no.

It's Bad For You?

10:00 AM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , , ,
It used to be that eggs were bad for you. We were told to eat only two a week. Now they are good for you. Have two a day. We were told that butter was bad for you. Now we are told to daily  have a pad of butter . Then we learned that fat is good. You need it for you brain. And I've heard that salt and white bread may not be all that bad. What comes next? Cigarettes?

Pens

10:00 AM Posted by Linda Henson , , , ,
What I love about the dollar store is that I get about ten pens for a dollar. Then I take them home and put them in a drawer. That I will always have a pen handy. Then when they all disappear I just buy more for only a dollar. I will never be without a pen until I really need one.  Life is good.
