CAT

4:18 PM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , ,
My niece and her family were preparing to get a kitten. They were trying to decide if it should be a family cat or belong to her nine year old son. My niece was talking about how to take care of a cat. She was saying, ''And you would have to clean the litter box."
"Mom," my nephew said. "It's a family cat!"

M C

10:00 AM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , , ,
With the speed of life going at the speed of light it is nice to stop and take a breath. Observe the lights and multitude of decorations. Laugh with family and friends. To eat a good meal and sit back and relax. It is good to take a pause. Merry Christmas.

War?

I see these bumpers stickers that say, "Give peace a chance" and "Make love not war." I saw one that said, "Make tea not war." Who are these bumper stickers for? The huge majority of people who read them don't want war. Even the bad guys don't want war. They want to take your land, your rights and your way of life. Give it to them and you'll have peace. What kind of peace is that? At any moment, the troops can swoop down and grab your processions, your family, or you. Possible all three.
War is always horrible. Sometimes it's necessary. To free the oppressed. To keep your freedom. There's that old saying, "Freedom isn't free." Oppression isn't free either. Everything cost something.
I guess what it comes down to is this, what are you willing to live with?

Clutter

10:00 AM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , , , , , ,
I'm trying to declutter my life. Yes, I admit it.  I am a clutterer. My family know it. Strangers suspect. The thing is, I have an emotional attachment to some of my clutter, so it's become like a noble breakup. I hate for us to part, but I know it's for the best. I kiss it good-bye(just joking) and send it on its way. It hurts, but I will be a better person. I think it's called growing pains.
