MISTAKE?

4:36 PM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , , , , , ,
I was watching a You Tube video about movie errors. They showed a clip from Pulp Fiction.
They were pointing out the mistake Samuel L. Jackson made with his well known Bible quote. But it was not necessarily a mistake. Maybe the writer got it wrong or Jackson did, but it is an accident that works. People often misquote scripture. It happens all the time. So, Mr. Jackson, you brilliant actor, you're off the hook. You're welcome.

I saw a challenge on Facebook. It asked people to come up movie quotes that identify a movie when you hear them. I thought it was fun. I came up with a few.
         "You had me at hello."
         "Houston, we have a problem."
         "Tomorrow is another day."
"If you build it, he will come."
         "I'll have what she's having."
         "They're here."
"We don't need no stinkin' badges."
"Life is like a box of chocolates."
         "You can't handle the truth!"

The funny thing about movie quotes. You don't have to have seen the movie to know the quote. Have fun. Enjoy. Tootles.

Honeypot

4:46 PM Posted by Linda Henson , , , , , ,
Sometime ago I watched a movie called "Honeypot."  In it Rex Harrison played a wealthy man who was about to die. He asked his ex-wife to return the hour glass filled with gold dust she got in her settlement. She asked why. He said he was going to fill bons bons with the gold dust and eat them. That way, when he died, he could take it with him. Sadly, the ex-wife had already sold the gold dust. I was thinking the old saying, you can't take it with you, is too true. Even if he were able to eat gold dust filled bons bons they would have passed through him before he passed on. Rest in peace.
