I started thinking about writing down every word I know. It's going to take a while. I'm
not going to do it all in one sitting. I thought about just doing it randomly, but decided to
start with the A's.
A, an, and, always, age, are, aardvark, aardwolf, ( Yeah. That one surprised me too.) alligator,
antler, abamp, (I'm going to have to stop learning new words.) ape, available, admitters, all,
arc, arch, archaeologist, (Maybe I ought to rethink this.) actor, ahead, That, is, all, for, now.
Chuck and Josh went to Chuck's house after school to play video games. They wanted some snacks and made a search for where Chuck's mom stashed her Oreos. They were tearing the house apart looking for the cookies when Chuck's mom walked in. "Mom, you really hid your cookies good. We can't find them." "Neither can I," his mother said.
There are two types of school Speed Zones I know about. One is 20 miles per hour between the hours of 7 and 5. The other is, 20 miles per hour when children are present. I often wondered, what do they mean by children? Is that a child or short person? Is that child too old? Then I found out they meant when children are in the crosswalk.
Why couldn't they just say that? Why couldn't they just say, don't run over kids in a crosswalk. And why do they believe we are the kind of people that run down kids in crosswalks? I know that , unless I am really annoyed, I don't run down anyone I see in a crosswalk. And I am pretty sure my friends and family feel the same way.
The sign sould say, School zone. Watch out for kids. Have a nice day. I think that would make us more alert and we would slow down to read the sign. Kids would, blissfully, be unaware of the danger and the rest of us would be satisfied because we did a good deed. I see smiles all around. My job is finished. Good day.
Sometimes I like to change old sayings. I changed "I'll slap you silly." to "I'd slap you silly if someone hadn't beat me to it." "Wake up and smell the coffee." to "Wake up and smell the coffee burning." Yeah, I think that's an improvement.
Josh and Chuck were standing on a cliff when suddenly Josh pushed Chuck off the edge. After a while Chuck climbed back up. "Why did you do that!?"
"It was an experiment," Josh said. "This is a chance world. A changing universe. This time you didn't like it, but next time you might enjoy it." With that Chuck pushed Josh off the cliff. Chuck look down and said, "Did you enjoy that!?"
"The first part was fun," Josh said."The second part needs work,"
Chuck shook with anger so much he slipped and fell over the edge and landed next to Josh. " You're right," he said. "It was fun."
I recently started thinking about old black and white movies and thought I would recommend a few just for fun. I found them enjoyable. You might consider watching these just to do me a favor.
